There are literally dozens of Forex trading system programs online that offer various levels of study. As a beginner, you should not try to learn too much, too fast. So, How Do I Trade Forex When I m New to this Whole Thing?

That s when you have so much information filling your head, that it causes you to not be able to do much of anything.
Fortunately, there are some very good training programs available that takes the beginning trader by the hand and gently guides them towards making their first trade. Before choosing a program, you should take a moment to think about your particular learning style. Everybody likes to learn things in a particular way.
Some people enjoy reading information and will gravitate towards courses that include books and workbooks with examples. They like to read a little, ponder over the information, then go back and read some passages again to get a clear understanding.
Some people are visual learners and enjoy watching video tutorials and seeing colorful graphs and charts. Also, for those who like listening to lessons, they too will like getting their information in both audio and video formats.
A lot of people can handle lessons in any format, so the above may not apply to you, but it s something to consider when evaluating a Forex home study course.
Another thing to consider when choosing a Forex course is the expertise of the person who s teaching. Sure, it s easy for anybody who has traded for a few months to come along and call themselves an expert. But, the proof is in the pudding, folks. Ideally, your instructor should have several years of currency trading experience. They should also offer students some kind of credible proof that they know what they re teaching.
This is really important, because for you to become a successful Forex trader, who will be using real money, you ve got to be absolutely sure you re learning a credible system. It s too easy for new people to be sucked in by false promises of quick wealth. Okay, I m going to dispel that myth for you right now.
There s no such thing as quick and easy wealth in Forex trading, but smart traders understand how to make steady earnings. So, please stay away from any programs or training material that promises you big earnings for very little work. The best thing that you can do for yourself, right now, is to stay focused on learning Forex the right way.

In the 18 months since Andrea Muizelaar was crowned winner of the reality TV series Canada’s Next Top Model, her life has been a complete whirlwind. From working in a dollar store in her hometown of Whitby, Ontario, to modeling haute couture in Toronto, she had reached her dream of becoming a true Top Model.
But at what cost? Unknown to casual television viewers, Muizelaar had been enveloped in the eating disorder anorexia nervosa, which inevitably became too much for her to bear. She gave up modeling and moved back to Whitby, where she sought treatment for her disorder, re-entered college, and now works at a bank. Where is she now? Happy and healthy, she says.
Recently Andrea Muizelaar sat down with Wikinews reporter Mike Halterman in a candid interview that stretched to nearly two hours, as she told all about her hopes and aspirations, her battle with anorexia, and just what really happened on Canada’s Next Top Model.

Corruption-related charges have been brought against Jacob Zuma, the newly-elected leader of the African National Congress (ANC), according to his lawyer. A trial is scheduled to begin on August 14, 2008.
The charges stem from an arms deal with a French company, which is alleged to have involved bribes and fraud. Zuma’s financial adviser at the time, Schabir Shaik, was convicted in 2005 of attempting to solicit a bribe of US$72,500 per year from the arms company on Zuma’s behalf and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Zuma was fired as deputy president in 2005 by South African President Thabo Mbeki due to the scandal.
Two-term ANC leader Mbeki recently lost an ANC leadership contest to Jacob Zuma, who garnered about 60 percent of delegate votes in his win.
Zuma had been charged with corruption in 2005, but the case was dismissed on procedural grounds. Michael Hulley, Zuma’s defence lawyer, indicated that they will strongly contest the new charges in court. Hulley also suggested that the South African government’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and its anti-organised crime division known as The Scorpions, have carried out a smear campaign against Zuma.
“These charges will be vigorously defended, in the context of the belief that the Scorpions (NPA) have acted wrongly and with improper motive calculated to discredit Mr. Zuma and ensure that he play no leadership role in the political future of our country,” said Michael Hulley in a statement.
Given that the ANC has been the governing party in South Africa since the end of apartheid in 1994, it is likely that Jacob Zuma could become the next president after general elections in 2009. Zuma has said, however, that he would resign if he was found guilty by the courts.
DON’T BE A VICTIM – Customers’Right to Cancel

Since the start of October 2008 new regulations have come into force concerning the rights of a consumer to change his or her mind and back out of a contract.
Turning a blind eye to the new regulations could invoke a fine over 1,000. This penalty can be handed out personally to any directors who ignore their company s inability to apply the new rules.
Spelled out in the Cancellation of Contracts Made in a Consumer s Home or Workplace etc. Regulations 2008, the new rules mean that consumers now have seven days to cancel a contract, providing that:
The contract is worth more than 35
The consumer entered into the contract away from your business premises
As long as a contract is over 35 and made somewhere other than your business premises, customers can back out in the first seven days. They do not have to give any reason at all.
This provision is being called the customer s right to cool off.
Remember, this applies only to contracts made with consumers. They are customers to whom you provide services or sell goods for non-business reasons. These regulations do not apply to any contracts made between one business and another.
What does this mean for my business?
If you make contracts with consumers in this way, then you will need to be aware of their new rights and adjust your paperwork to reflect this. Unlike the Sale of Goods Act, which states that their must be something wrong with goods for them to be returned, these new rules mean that consumers can pull out without having to give a reason. They can cancel the contract without any liability providing they do so within seven days. This applies regardless of whether your visit to the customer is unsolicited or a pre-arranged appointment.
To include the Regulations in your paperwork, give your customers written notice of their right to cancel when the contracts are made. To make it obvious to your customers:
Spell out their right clearly and obviously
Include the date, your company name and contact details
Tell them how to cancel
Include a cancellation form and an address to send it to
Specify that the seven day period begins at the date of this contract
The customer cancellation form need say no more than: To (insert your company name), I/we give notice that I/we wish to cancel my/our contract. Signed
You may want to word the notice in the following way:
Should you wish to cancel this contract, you must do so in writing within seven calendar days from the date of this contract, sending, delivering or emailing your cancellation to the person named below. A cancellation form is included for your convenience or you may write your own cancellation.
The customer s right to cancel prevents them from being unduly pressured into receiving services or goods. Being clear on it as a business is not hard to do, and it prevents you from suffering a large fine for not complying with new regulations.

The European country of Slovakia will have the euro replace the koruna as its official currency, starting January 1, 2009. Slovakia is the sixteenth country to start using the euro. The official conversion rate is set at 30.126 koruna to one euro.
Joaquín Almunia, the European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner, stated that the conversion will be “a proud moment for the euro area […] the euro has become the symbol of EU identity and is protecting us against the tremendous external shocks that we have had to cope with since the summer of 2007.”
January 1 also marks the tenth anniversary of the euro being introduced as globally exchangeable currency.

A woman in Tennessee, United States dressed up like a nurse and tried to steal a baby from a hospital’s maternity room but police arrested her. Adriene Johnson, 24, is now in custody after trying to steal the baby. The woman entered the hospital’s maternity room dressed in scrubs and was going to take the baby’s temperature said police.
Security was alerted to Johnson when she tried to take the baby out of the hospital. The room was then locked down and the baby was handed over to the doctor. Johnson was on bond after being arrested by police on Monday. She was also charged with trying to steal a baby’s rocker from a Wal-Mart which she tried to get a refund on.

The news item was published today at 8:27PM (UTC) and it has information about the death of the South African anti-apartheid activist and politician Helen Suzman.
Wikinoticias is the seventh largest Wikinews edition, based on number of published stories.

On Monday, Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in women’s weightlifting in the 55 kg category during her fourth Olympic games. She lifted a combined weight 224 kg (494 lb), tying the previous new Olympic record. In the snatch she lifted 97 kg (214 lb) and in the clean and jerk 127 kg (280 lb), totaling the 224 kg.
After the match, she said in an interview, “I am 30 years old and I thought it would be like going down, my performance, but I was shocked I was able to do it”. A statement from the Philippines’ presidential spokesman Harry Roque celebrated Diaz’s win, saying, “Congratulations, Hidilyn. The entire Filipino nation is proud of you”.
The previous record-setter Liao Qiuyun of China took the silver medal with a total weight of 223 kg (492 lb), and Zulfiya Chinshanlo of Kazakhstan took the bronze with 213 kg (470 lb).
Diaz won the silver medal during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she competed in the 53 kg category. She won a gold medal in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Diaz trained in Malaysia, where she was stuck due to COVID-19 travel restrictions imposed by the Philippines. While there, she trained in a self-built gym, using water bottles.
