Halotherapy A Natural Remedy For Treatment Of Respiratory, Dermatology And Cosmetology Problems

Halotherapy a Natural Remedy For Treatment of Respiratory, Dermatology and Cosmetology Problems By Richard Zagrobelny

Halotherapy or salt therapy uses dry aerosol of salt micro particles and minerals to treat respiratory and dermatological ailments and replicates conditions of treatment that has been practiced in European salt mines since early 19th century. It is a physical, non invasive, drug free and safe therapy.

It can be used as a complementary treatment to prescribed medications or as a sole treatment. When Halotherapy is used as a complementary treatment, it can increase the effectiveness of prescribed medications, and decrease their amount.

Very important factor in the effectiveness of Halotherapy is negative ionization of dry salt aerosol micro particles. Negative ions are very beneficial for humans. In certain hills and mountain areas nature produces high concentration of negative ions. In part this is because in the mountains there is less dust in the air to consume the negative ions. Throughout history mankind has gone to hilly areas to rest and recuperate, particularly from respiratory diseases.

The energy in moving waters also generates a lot of negative ions. As a waterfall is tumbling over rocks or waves are crushing on the seashore, the positive charge remains in the larger drops and the negative charge flies free with the fine spray, forming negative ions. At waterfalls everybody swimming and breathing in the mist usually laughs and talks loudly, and that is because they are absorbing Life Force in the form of negative ions and oxygen.

Experiments showed that cilia of the trachea, or windpipes, are stimulated by negative ions and depressed by positive ions. Human cilia are microscopic hairs that maintain whiplike motion while cleaning the air we inhale of dust and pollen and other matter that should not reach the lungs.

Another tests, on athletes subjected to negative ions environment demonstrated considerable improvement in general physical and mental tone, in cheerfulness, energy, appetite, and in the ability to sleep soundly.

In 1966 at a hospital in Jerusalem, doctors performed a series of tests on thirty eight infants between two and twelve months old. All suffered from respiratory problems. The research reported that negative ions without any other treatment seem to cure attacks of asthma and bronchitis more quickly than drugs. They also observed that there were no adverse side effects frequently found when treating such children with drugs.

Halotherapy, Dry Saline Aerosol Therapy has been developed on the basis of Speleotherapy – underground natural healing rock salt chambers.

The beneficial health effects of the microclimate of salt mines have been known for centuries. Even before they were first described in a book published by a Polish physician Feliks Boczkowski in 1843. Since then, the practice of bringing patients with respiratory diseases down to the salt mines for healing spread throughout Europe, and it has become a standard feature of Spa treatment of respiratory diseases.

In the 1980s Eastern European scientists began to build Halotherapy chambers that re-created in clinics and other above ground facilities the microclimate of salt mines. These Halo chambers have floors and walls lined with rock salt. Patients sit in the Halo chamber (salt therapy room) for 45 minutes per session while music and aesthetical, natural environment creates a relaxed mood that promotes healing.

Salt covering of Halotherapy chamber surfaces is performed chiefly to deliver negative ion environment (like water falls, pine forests, ocean and sea shores). Another major reason is to deliver an aesthetic function for stress reduction, which is a powerful psychological effect contributing to healing.

Is it necessary to use Dry Saline Generator (Halogenerator) in a salt therapy room which surfaces are covered with salt? Concentration of 3-5 mg of particles of minerals per cubic meter, with breathable particles of 1-5 micrometers is absolutely necessary for creating right healing Halotherapy environment. This factor has been investigated by experts and is very well known. It has been proven that this concentration of minerals has a critical importance for therapeutic action in the respiratory tract.

It is the dry salt aerosol that protects the air of the underground Speleo-chambers. It keeps it sterile and amicrobic (not caused by or related to microbes). So in order to re-create this microclimate in artificially created Halotherapy chambers all surfaces are covered with salt, and dry saline aerosol is delivered by Halogenerator (Dry Salt Aerosol Generator).

Dry Saline Generators are certified as medical devices in European countries, and are in use throughout Europe, and are starting to spread to North America with increasing intensity.

At the end of the day it all comes back to the old Naturopathic saying: “The closer we are to Nature, the healthier we are. The further away from her we get, the more diseases we have” – Father Sebastian Kneipp, a famous naturopath (1846).

US Republicans elect first African-American chairman

US Republicans elect first African-American chairman

Saturday, January 31, 2009

The Republican National Committee has elected African-American Michael S. Steele as its chairman.

Steele, 50, a former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, won after the sixth round of voting against Katon Dawson of South Carolina. Steele’s candidacy was controversial as he was seen as being on the left of his party’s base and had been a member of the Republican Leadership Council, an anti-social-conservatism movement. He had denied being a moderate, telling CNN: “I’m proud to say I’m a conservative, have been, always will be.”

Steele has an agenda of reform for his party. In addition to the election of Barack Obama of the opposing Democrats in the presidential election of 2008, the Democrats gained eight seats in the Senate and 21 seats in the House. He told the media that the Republicans have an image problem, being thought of as a party that is “insensitive, a party that is unconcerned about minorities, a party that is unconcerned about the lives and the expectations and dreams of average Americans.”

According to the BBC, the Republicans are aware of not being able to reach the country’s non-white population, a job made tougher by the Democrats having a very visible mixed-race leader in the White House.

When campaigning for the United States Senate in 2006, Steele had been a vocal critic of then-President George W. Bush. In an off-the-record press lunch, which within 24 hours had his name attached to it, he had loudly criticized Bush’s handling of the Iraq War and the Hurricane Katrina rescue effort. He told reporters that standing as a Republican at that time was like being branded, saying “I’ve got an R here, a scarlet letter.”

The Republican National Committee develops and promotes the Republican Party‘s political platform and coordinates fundraising and election strategy. Steele spent more than $200,000 on his Convention election campaign.

Euro reaches new lows

Euro reaches new lows

Friday, July 15, 2011

On Tuesday, the Euro fell to a new record low in relation to the Swiss Franc, and to multi-month lows against the U.S. Dollar and Japanese yen; all considered by investors to be safe currencies during times of economic turmoil.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier that recent comments from the newly installed head of the International Monetary Fund, France’s Christine Lagarde, resulted in a sell-off of the Euro. At a roundtable discussion in Washington, Lagarde noted that the IMF had not yet reached discussion of terms and conditions of a second Greek bailout plan. In fact, a representative from the IMF is currently meeting with Eurozone policymakers to draft such a new proposal. The yield differential between Italian bonds and German bonds has spread to more than 300 basis points, something not seen in over a decade and evidence of investors’ concern.

Adding to the Euro’s woes is the upcoming release of the bank stress tests on Friday. The European Bankers Association said that they expect the data release to shed new light on the Eurozone’s banking situation. Representatives of several of the Eurozone’s governments, including Germany, have requested that the association consider releasing fewer specific details for fear that investor panic will ensue. The inadequacy of the capitalization rates has been an issue with the European Central Bank, whose president recently called upon Eurozone banks to make every effort to put their balance sheets in order.

For the time being at least, an unsubstantiated rumor reported by the Wall Street Journal states that the Eurozone’s central banks’ purchase of periphery debt has helped to quell the downward momentum of the Euro.

London Knights trade Steve Mason to Kitchener Rangers

Sunday, January 6, 2008

On the morning of January 4, 2008, while at the 2008 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, 19-year-old goalie Steve Mason received a phone call from Canada informing him that he was traded by the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights to the Kitchener Rangers.

In a press release Friday, Kitchener Rangers Head coach and General Manager Peter DeBoer announced the trade to the Knights. In return for obtaining Mason, the Rangers have sent the Knights, Centre Phil Varone, Defenceman Steve Tarasuk along with 2nd, 3rd and 4th round draft picks in 2011 and a 2nd round pick in 2012.

Mason said that he had an enjoyable time playing for the London Knights, but nonetheless, he believes that he has a bright future playing for the Kitchener Rangers. He also notes that he doesn’t want the trade to distract him from playing in the Gold Medal Game, against Team Sweden.

Team Canada won the game in overtime 3-2.

What Is Living In A Trailer Like?

What is living in a Trailer Like?

by

Lonnie Andre

Living in a trailer is an experience that cannot be likened to any other type of accommodation. It is one of the coolest things you can ever do and yet, a large percentage of the population frowns on it. However, the perception they have is far from the truth. Most people believe that trailers are for the poor but this could not be far from the case. People who live in trailers will attest to the fact that the experience is worthwhile. Just think about all the stress that comes with owning big homes. You have to ensure that the garage is well maintained and the attic as well. What is more, if you have a large home, you have to spend a lot of money on repairs and other expenses in order to ensure it is well maintained.

Living in a trailer on the other hand gives you the opportunity to choose who your neighbors are. When you pack your trailer in a region that has noisy or loud neighbors, you can opt to move to a quieter region that suits your needs. This is an option that cannot be offered by a stationery room and it makes it a smart choice for people who love peace. People who live in trailers don\’t have to worry about cleaning gutters and trimming shrubs. In addition to this, they don\’t fret about raking leaves. All these activities have to be carried by people who own homes. In actual sense, it gives you an opportunity to enjoy life more without having to worry about such nuances.

Trailer life is not affected by power outage or problems associated with water systems. What this means is that there is little chance life in a trailer will be affected in any way and this gives you an opportunity to enjoy every single day without having to worry about such issues. What is more, people who live in trailers are never too far from home since they can use the trailers to move from one place to another. Because the trailers space is considerably limited, the possibility of losing something and not finding it is less.

This is because in space that is only 200 square feet, the possibility of losing anything is minimal. Additionally, if the region you are currently parked has bad weather, you have the option of moving to an area that has friendly weather. This is not something you can achieve if you own a home since homes cannot be moved. With a trailer, you simply need to choose a location that has better weather and carry on with your life as normal. It is this flexibility that makes living in a trailer a unique and irresistible option.

Cleaning a trailer does not take long since the mopping and vacuuming can be completed in less than half an hour. What is more, people who live in trailers don\’t have to fret about property tax bills. This is because it drops every year. To cap it all, they don\’t have to worry about sewage blockage in the shower or bathtub because of sewage from upstairs bathroom

Eurovision ’82 winner Nicole talks about ‘Ein bißchen Frieden’, her success and the Contest today

Eurovision ’82 winner Nicole talks about ‘Ein bißchen Frieden’, her success and the Contest today

Monday, February 2, 2009

It has been nearly 27 years since Nicole, then a high school student from the Saarland in extreme western Germany, sang a heartfelt plea for world peace on the stage at the Eurovision Song Contest held in Harrogate, North Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. That simple message was wrapped with success; she became the first German in Contest history to take home the grand prize. The song was a brainchild of her former record producer, Ralph Siegel, and would be their greatest achievement in their nearly three-decade partnership.

Afterward, she was propelled to stardom across Europe by recording versions of her winning song, “Ein bißchen Frieden” (A little peace), in many European languages. To this day, it was the last winning Eurovision song to top the charts in the United Kingdom; it also has the distinction of being the 500th #1 single on the British charts.

This newfound fame brought her music to audiences across Europe, and in time, into Asia as well. By the end of the 1980s, however, her fame subsided somewhat and she refocused her career domestically. Since 1980, she has released over 30 albums in Germany; her most recent offering, Mitten ins Herz (Right into your heart), was accompanied by a three-month “unplugged” tour that ended in the third week of January.

Now off the road, Nicole spoke with Wikinews’ Mike Halterman about her past success, her life and career today, and her overall impressions of the Eurovision Song Contest, both past and present. This is the first in a series of interviews with past Eurovision contestants, which will be published sporadically in the lead-up to mid-May’s next contest in Moscow.

Employee Motivation: Key To Company Success

Submitted by: Matthew Hick

Picture this: You’re the owner of a seat manufacturing company that produces seating for wheelchairs, auditoriums, and cars. You have approximately 100 employees, 90 percent of which are upholsters, sewers, gluers, and material cutters. The other 10 percent are office staff. Basically, you have a diverse group of employees, each with different jobs, concerns, and needs. The big question is: How do you motivate all of these people?

Treat your employees well and your company will succeed:

If you are a smart business owner, you will realize that employee motivation at the workplace is essential to a company’s success. If your employees don’t respect their bosses, their jobs, and their company, then your business will not thrive.

Your employees must WANT to work at your company. They must have pride in their jobs, as well as the product that they are making. This about it this way: If your employees truly believe in what they are doing, they are most likely going to output a high-quality product in as quickly a manner as possible. In the end, your customers will benefit from this. Your company will benefit from this. And your employees will the benefit from this. Success is truly a chain reaction that begins and ends with employee motivation.

Put yourself in the shoes of your employees:

So how do you get your diverse mix of employees motivated? Why would anyone want to wake up at 7 AM five days a week to sew material to make seats for wheelchairs?

Would you get up to do this if, hanging above your department, you saw photos of the disabled people using the seats you stitched? Would you get up to do this if you were able to voice your ideas for new seats to your boss and to the whole company in weekly meetings? Would you get up to do this if you were given pay incentives or other types of rewards for the number or quality grade of seats you got done in a month?

If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then you would be considered a motivated employee. At least one of these things would have challenged you and would have given you reason to come in to work.

Think about some key points that enhance employee motivation:

-Every employee wants to feel appreciated in some way.

-Every employee wants to be given some sort of proof that what he or she did bettered the world, the community, or just the company in some sort of way.

-Every employee wants to feel that his or her opinion is at least heard – whether or not it is actually used. Having the opportunity to voice an opinion and bring new ideas to the table is a positive thing for both an employee and a company.

-Every employee wants to be rewarded for a job well done. It is understandable that large raises and elaborate prizes cannot always be available. But sometimes a simple acknowledgement from an owner or a boss can mean a great deal.

As a business owner, or as a boss, understand that one wants to work hard only to end up feeling unappreciated in the end. In a corporate world where money and power appear to mean success, it is key to remember that without good employee motivation at the basic level nothing else would be possible.
